Together with NKF, KampungKakis is organising a digital literacy programme – Kampung Connect, to teach and equip isolated senior patients with digital skills.

Beyond that, we hope for this to become a platform for befriending and providing emotional support to seniors, guiding them towards reintegration back into society through digital connectivity.

We are recruiting volunteers in Punggol, Hougang or Serangoon who are eager to befriend isolated senior patients and impart digital skills!

Programme Duration: Weekly sessions from June - Aug 2024 (pre-training introduction in late May)

Continued Befriending: Sep - Nov 2024

Programme will be a mix of online and in-person.

Eligibility

No age minimum!
Attend the training session to use the provided toolkit to teach seniors
Weekly visits* to teach digital skills (using the toolkit) to the senior that the volunteer will be matched with. Visits will alternate between online and in-person. (June - Aug)
Befriend our seniors! Volunteers are highly encouraged to follow up with weekly befriending visits from Sep - Nov.
