SMU Debating Society (SMUDS) is hosting SMU Novice Debating Championships (SNDC) — their flagship BP-format debate tournament — on 1-2 November 2025, and they need YOUR help to pull it off!

Event Details

SNDC is an annual debate competition organised by SMUDS, in British Parliamentary (BP) format, aimed at novice debaters. Participants are mostly pre-tertiary students (JC / Poly), or new university debaters. 

📆  Date & Time:

DAY 1 — Saturday, 1 Nov — 8.00am - 7.00pm (event runs 8:30am - 6:30pm)

DAY 2 — Sunday, 2 Nov — 9.00am - 4.00pm (event runs 9:30am - 3:00pm)

👋 Recruitment is open to all students; you do not need to be a SMUDS member to sign up.

😎 Debate experience is not required!

⏰ You do NOT need to commit both days / full duration, though that is ideal.
